Walter's Automotive Group of Riverside is offering the grand prize in a $100-per-ticket drawing to benefit Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
"Only 1,000 tickets will be sold at $100 per opportunity ticket, with all proceeds benefiting the non-profit Children's Hospital," spokesman Herbert Atienza said in a statement.
The drawing will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Aug. 24 at Walter's Automotive, 3213 Adams St., a receptionist for the dealership said Monday.
Walter's Automotive Group owners Steve and Cathy Kienle are offering as grand prize a choice of a 2012 Audi A4, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLK350, Mercedes-Benz C250, two Fiats, two Smart cars, or a Sprinter commercial van, Atienza said.
Other prizes to be awarded include a white gold diamond bracelet valued at $2,500 provided by K. Norris Jewelers and a men's Mercedes-Benz Watch, valued at $450, Atienza said.
"This is just another great way to show our support for Children's Hospital, which treats thousands of children every year," Cathy Kienle said. "Our children are the most important treasures. We must take great care of them."
Last year's opportunity drawing raised $73,600 for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, Atienza said.
"We feel fortunate to be a part of a community that takes care of our children and allows our business to prosper, so we can continue to support Loma Linda University Children?s Hospital," Steve Kienle said. "The prizes are awesome, but even to those who don't win, they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they helped some wonderful kids at Children's Hospital."
For the past 17 years, the Kienles have hosted and staged the Walter's Children's Charity Classic Golf Tournament, which has raised nearly $3 million for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, Atienza said.
Funds raised from the tournament have supported critical areas at Children's Hospital, including the pediatric hematology/oncology unit, cardiac intensive care unit, the neonatal intensive care unit, and the pediatric intensive care unit, Atienza said.
"We are delighted that the kids at Loma Linda University Children?s Hospital will again benefit from the kindness and generosity of Steve and Cathy Kienle, and the people who are participating in this wonderful opportunity drawing," Children's Hospital administrator Zareh Sarrafian said. "It is with their help, though initiatives like this, that we are able to provide the best care and treatment for our children."

Rebecca Adlington followed up her 400m freestyle gold in Beijing with a bronze in London (Picture: Reuters) Adlington, who was also defending champion in the 400m event, swam a superb race to finish third behind France?s Camille Muffat and American Allison Schmitt from lane eight in the Aquatic Centre. But the British swimmer knows she will have her work cut out to get on the podium again on Friday. ?I?m going to have to fight like hell to get a medal. I know the 800m is going to be a fight, exactly the same as the 400m. ?I know it?s going to be extremely tough but I am going to try my absolute hardest, just as I did on Sunday, and hopefully the crowd can pick me up as they did then and I can pick up that performance.? Elsewhere in the pool, Briton Gemma Spofforth will be out to defend her world record in the women?s 100m backstroke, Liam Tancock is in action in the men?s 100m backstroke final, while Robbie Renwick will also be going for gold in the men?s 200m freestyle. Anyone who has used Facebook on a smartphone or tablet knows that the social network still has a ways to go when it comes to nailing the mobile experience. Turns out that Mark Zuckerberg is well aware of this -- and on the earnings call with investors and analysts this afternoon, he vowed that his team is on it. "I think we're really much closer to the beginning than the end" when it comes to Facebook's mobile development, he said. "If you use the apps today I think they're relatively basic compared to what anybody would want from a Facebook experience on the phone."
