14 awesome tag team finishing maneuvers

In the aftermath of their monumental win against United States Champion Santino Marella & Zack Ryder on the May 11 edition of SmackDown, the tag team of Darren Young & Titus O?Neil asked one simple question of the WWE Universe: ?Do you all know the difference between [us] and the rest of the tag teams here in WWE??

Their ?million dollar? charisma notwithstanding, the promising duo could also distinguish themselves with the one thing they already have in common with some of the greatest duos in WWE history: a distinct tag team finishing maneuver.

While the backbreaker hold-diving elbow drop combination that Young & O?Neil execute may bolster their place in the win column, the timing and chemistry required to pull off that kind of impressive move also gives the up-and-coming partnership a distinct advantage over many of WWE?s top ranked tag teams.

Moreover, Young & O?Neil's impressive endgame brings them into elite company, as they join a proud tradition of WWE pairings who have used the power of teamwork to deliver a devastating knockout blow to their opponents. To see how their climactic finale stacks up, WWE.com takes a look at 14 signature finishers that other tag teams have relied upon to rough up a rival in the ring.

Brazil Real Estate More Affordable Thanks To Currency Rates

As the Brazilian Real weakens against the US Dollar and the British Sterling, real estate in the country is now more affordable. In the summer of last year, an investor could get 1.56 Reals for each USD, and now they can get around 2. That means a house that cost 200,000 Reals last year would have cost $128,205 USD - now it would only be $100,000. For more on this, continue reading the following article from Property Wire.

The strength of Sterling against the Brazilian Real means that for British buyers property in Brazil is even more affordable, it is claimed.

Sterling is trading at a two and a half year high against the Brazilian Real and this means that if you bought a five star two bedroom beachfront apartment south of Natal on 01 June 2011 it would have cost ?111,617 but now the cost is ?90,564, according to Samantha Gore, sales manager of Brazil specialist estate agents uv10.

?From early June 2011 until now the Brazilian Real has been fading against the Pound, to the tune of 28%. Likewise, the US Dollar is at a two and a half year high and the Euro a two year high against Brazil?s currency,? she said.

She pointed out that a very attractive Brazil property buying scenario has come about by the retreat of the Real. The Eurozone collapse has sent shockwaves over to Brazil as investors fear that demand for this Latin American nation?s exports could drop sharply as an at least partial Eurozone breakup becomes increasingly likely.

Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega is pleased that the Real is losing value and therefore becoming more competitive. ?The weak real is beneficial for the Brazilian economy because it makes Brazilian products more competitive, which means that Brazilian industry can better compete with imported products that become more expensive, and can export more,? he said recently.

Gore believes that optimism in Brazil extends further. ?The middle class continues to grow, fuelling demand for property and keeping prices on an upward trajectory, at least for a few more years. Benchmark interest rates have just been lowered to 9%, which is great news for local buyers eyeing a mortgage and developers seeking finance for new projects,? she explained.

?In 2014, the FIFA World Cup comes to Brazil and then Rio de Janeiro takes on Olympic hosting duties in 2016. Once these events have passed, there will still be huge oil exploration to keep Brazil in the spotlight and in the money. Meanwhile tourist arrivals continue to rise, further fuelling the country?s economy which managed 2.75% GDP growth in 2011,? she added.

Figures also show that last year Brazil welcomed a record number of visitors. Ministry of Tourism data shows there were 5.4 million visitors, 5.3% up on 2010?s figures. Best Western International has responded by opening its 17th hotel in Brazil, but the first from its Best Western Premier brand, the five star Best Western Premier Majestic Ponta Negra Beach, one the most famous beaches in Brazil.
?
Best Western International aims to have 20 hotels in Brazil by 2017 and Marriott is also adding 12 hotels to its five existing properties in Brazil as it predicts a hotel room shortage throughout the sporting events calendar.

Gore pointed out that two bedroom properties at Golden Fields, Natal, start from around ?48,800.

96% Moonrise Kingdom

All Critics (92) | Top Critics (24) | Fresh (88) | Rotten (4) | DVD (1)

Its moments of transporting beauty and visual brilliance overcame my growing aversion to Wes Anderson's brand of ultra-stylized archness.

We may look back on Anderson's works as we do on the boxes of Joseph Cornell -- formal troves of frippery, studded with nostalgic private jokes, that lodge inexplicably in the heart. In Moonrise Kingdom, that lodging is already under way.

It makes you nostalgic for the pangs of young love.

What makes it an Anderson movie are the things he adds which mark all his films - the pop-cultural obsessions and excruciatingly detailed set decorations, overarching thematic concerns and little stylistic tics.

I liked this one because of its young performers, the evocative island setting (filmed in Rhode Island), Alexandre Desplat's lovely score and Robert Yeoman's slightly grainy cinematography.

The director's best film since 1998's Rushmore, it has none of the self-conscious smugness of The Life Aquatic or the empty eccentricity of The Royal Tenenbaums.

A gossamer fable of adolescent romance, played out with the cheekily whimsical, visually delicious style for which Anderson is famous.

Wes Anderson's most sartorially significant film yet.

At once funny and melancholic, whimsical and poignantly true.

One is at times reminded of AE Housman.

Moonrise Kingdom is a delight... stuffed full of the quirky details and gags that are Anderson's trademarks, but it also possesses an emotional undertow that will tug at those viewers in tune with its singular sensibility.

Capturing our inner children

If the deadpan sensibility of the film ultimately leaves it feeling a tad lightweight, that isn't to say that Moonrise Kingdom isn't a funny, witty and well-crafted film.

Typically quirky Wes Anderson dramedy has lots of heart.

A bittersweet and evocative period piece that's both a visual and narrative delight.

No one has an eye or sensibility like Anderson's, but this is a chilly disappointment. The unaffecting kids are meant to be the emotional center, yet the adults steal the film.

I really wanted to like this film. I respect Wes Anderson and his distinctive voice as a writer-director ('Rushmore' is one of my favorite films of the 1990s), but this latest endeavor is so precious and self-aware that it nearly smothers itself.

Those who find the director's work flawed by preciousness, however, may grow impatient well before the movie reaches the 90-minute mark.

Anderson has imagined the '60s on the East Coast as if from an Eddie Bauer catalog and Boys' Life, with the sensibility of The New Yorker.

Like many holiday locations, you wouldn't want to live there, but a mini-break from the norm can be a real tonic.

A sweet, charming and altogether delightful bit of whimsy from writer/director Wes Anderson.

I normally end up liking Wes Anderson's films, but I love this one.

The delightful Moonrise Kingdom marks a career high for offbeat auteur Wes Anderson.

Travel + Leisure: America's Worst-Dressed People (PHOTOS)

When it comes to dress sense, what's worse: layer upon bulky layer of long underwear and puffy coats? Flashy, barely-there outfits? Or downright sloppiness?

Travel + Leisure readers rated major destinations in categories including style for the annual America's Favorite Cities survey -- and the results confirm that city dwellers fall short of fashionable in myriad ways. But it's Anchorage that earned the dubious honor of No. 1 worst-dressed city in America.

That's no surprise to Dr. Miriam Jones, a paleoclimatologist who has traveled in and out of Anchorage "too many times to count" during a two-year research stint.

"It's not uncommon to see oversized parkas with fur-lined hoods and bunny boots," she says. "And people aren't alarmed when a person wearing a ski mask enters a room." In Alaska, she adds, men sport beards and flannel in the most unironic way possible: to keep frostbite at bay and their appendages attached.

Dressing well certainly has an element of personal taste, and this survey is based on visitors' perceptions, not scientific fact. So, did T+L readers deem your city to be one of America's worst dressed? Read on to find out, and feel free to defend local fashions in the comments.

  • No. 10 Kansas City, MO

America's No. 1 city for barbecue does not a fashionista make. Kansas City residents are among some of our nation's friendliest, and they can school anyone and everyone about the intricacies of grilling, but it looks like they're lost when it comes to putting together an outfit. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/12" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Ann Shields

  • No. 9 Phoenix/Scottsdale

Here's a hint: if a city has a <a href="http://www.heard.org/currentexhibits/BolaTies.html" target="_hplink">museum exhibit</a> dedicated to the bolo tie, it's not going to be fashion forward. The official neckwear of Arizona (yes, that's a thing) is enjoying a comeback. But sunny Phoenix made the top 10 for spring break destinations -- when attire is almost beside the point. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/11" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> iStock

  • No. 8 Portland, ME

With some of the most limited shopping options in America and one of its least diverse populations, Portland isn't where you come to try on cutting-edge clothing. But that's just fine because the city slays the competition in other areas, placing first in <em>five</em> survey categories, including best summer destination and best drivers. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/10" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Courtesy of Greater Portland Convention & Visitors Bureau

  • No. 7 Atlanta

If the flashy reality-TV stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are at all indicative of how the rest of Atlanta dresses, it's no wonder our readers ranked it as America's No. 7 least-stylish city. Hotlanta has one of the highest per capita incomes of any southern city, but as the TV show illustrates and the saying goes: money can't buy taste. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/9" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> iStock

  • No. 6 Dallas/Fort Worth

Bigger seems to always be better in the Dallas/Fort Worth area; just take one look at the infamously over-the-top JumboTron at the Cowboys Stadium. And when it comes to getting dressed, big hair, conspicuous designer labels and slick snakeskin boots are the norm. "Less is more" is not a phrase heard round these parts. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/8" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> iStock

  • No. 5 San Antonio, TX

San Antonio is known for rodeos not runways. Take the famous San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, a three-week extravaganza at which you won't feel comfortable unless you're suited up in western attire -- from your head (one of those sweet hats) to your toes (cowboy boots). <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/7" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Carol Barrington/SACVB

  • No. 4 Orlando

Orlando was voted the No. 1 family vacation destination, so visitors were likely focused on people seen around the theme parks, which aren't exactly crowded with fashionistas -- enduring Disney World's winding lines in stilettos would be crazy. The city did win raves for its weather and variety of hotel options. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/6" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Ian Dagnall / Alamy

  • No. 3 Baltimore

In a city judged to have fairly offbeat residents, there are bound to be questionable fashion choices. Case in point: the Baltimore Hons, a group of people who sport the '50s cat-eye-glasses look with gusto. Some visitors have their sights focused elsewhere, anyway, using Baltimore as a convenient, affordable base for day trips (ranked No. 12). <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/5" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> iStock

  • No. 2 Salt Lake City

Voters rated Salt Lake City one of the top 10 quietest cities in the nation and praised it for affordability and cleanliness. But T+L readers didn't equate those squeaky-clean locals with fashion-forward ways -- perhaps because, male or female, there are only so many ways to rock a polo shirt. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/4" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Danita Delimont / Alamy

  • No. 1 Anchorage

In chilly Anchorage, the dress code leans toward practicality rather than fashion, and many residents teeter through the streets bundled as tightly as Randy, the kid brother in "A Christmas Story." Fashion trends take longer to reach this hinterland, but travelers are happy to make the trek regardless -- especially in summer -- and rated the city No. 4 for peace and quiet. <a href="http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-worst-dressed-people/3" target="_hplink">See More of America's Worst-Dressed People</a> <em>Photo:</em> Nigel Hicks / Alamy

Household Product And Furniture - Home Improvement Made Easy

Doing home improvement is a wonderful way to get a lovely home that is suited to your own needs; it can also help you to save money. There can be a lot to remember when it comes to doing home improvements right, though, so here are some tips to help keep you working smart, as well as working hard.

If you have clear glass in your windows, your home could lose 20% of its heating and cooling. Installing an additional glaze to larger windows is a great way to conserve energy, thus lowering your energy costs.

Before starting a job, decide what you will do beforehand. Developing a plan is a very important part of finishing your project on time and under budget. Adding new work and new goals to a project that?s already underway can strain your budget and your schedule much more seriously than you might expect. Contractors will also be happier if you already have a good idea of what it is you want.

If you want to reduce your costs and beef up your home?s security profile, add motion sensing lights to your property. These lights consume less energy by switching on only in the presence of movement. Intruders will also think twice about approaching your home, since their presence is highlighted when the lights flick on.

Improve your home?s windows! Give your windows a makeover! Try out double glazed windows. They aren?t your cheapest choice, but they are cost-effective in the long run. Improving your windows can also increase your overall security. If you are not able to get new windows, paint the window sills or frames, or simply change your drapes.

Make sure that your caulking is in good shape. Inspect the caulking in your tub and sink areas regularly. If the caulk has cracked or developed small holes, moisture can seep into your walls creating mold and mildew. If water starts seeping through the holes and cracks in your caulking, it will find its way into the flooring, and eventually the floor will start rotting. To properly caulk, remove all old caulk, thoroughly clean the area and allow it to dry. You will achieve the best seal from the new caulk when you have a clean surface.

These tips can aid you in mastering your home improvement project. They will help give your home a personalized touch and improve its resale value. It can only get better the more effort you put in, after all ? at least if you follow smart advice like this to make sure you do home improvements properly!

Google Nexus tablet appears in benchmarks, appears to run on quad-core Tegra 3

ASUS's seven-inch MeMo tablet has just ducked under the FCC's gates, but some benchmark results for a purported Google and ASUS team-up could tally with the same device. According to the listing, the Google Asus Nexus 7 will arrive with NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 CPU, clocked at 1.3 GHz, while that (presumably) 7-inch screen packs a 768 x 1280 resolution. The hardware specs end there, but thanks to some investigation by Android Police and Rightware, it appears that this mystery tablet is running Android 4.1 -- possibly the version number for Android's next iteration, Jelly Bean. There are several more hints adding credence to these benchmark results, including the fish-based "grouper" codename, which follows the Stingray moniker that was handed to the Motorola Xoom ahead of its reveal. We're just itching to know whether it'll still manage a sub-$300 price-tag.

The unmanned vehicle, called?Dragon, is built by Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), and is the first commercial spacecraft ever launched toward the space station. During the rendezvous, the spacecraft approached within 1.6 miles (2.5 km) of the outpost. Dragon launched to orbit??from Cape Canaveral, Fla.,?early Tuesday (May 22) atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and is due to arrive at the station on Friday (May 25).

Today was a?final testing day for the capsule?before it can be cleared to attempt its first docking. The capsule performed a near flyby of the space station just as designed, without any mishap.

"Today is a really great day," NASA flight director Holly Ridings said during a briefing after the flyby. "It's been very, very successful up to this point."

Crewmembers inside the orbiting lab have been monitoring the vehicle's activities.

"We all look forward to it," space station Expedition 31 flight engineer Andre Kuipers of the European Space Agency said this morning. "We will dedicate today to Dragon." [SpaceX's Historic Dragon Flight to Space Station]

The capsule successfully made its first burn to approach the space station at 3:58 a.m. EDT (0758 GMT), and followed with another engine firing at 4:43 a.m. EDT (0843 GMT) that took Dragon to a position 1.6 miles (2.5 km) below and 25 miles (40 km) behind the?International Space Station, officially beginning its flyby. At around 7:25 a.m. EDT (1125 GMT), Dragon made its closest approach, passing through the imaginary line called the R-bar connecting the station and Earth.

From this spot, cameras on the outpost searched for sightings of the approaching capsule.

"Dragon may or may not be visible," NASA commentator Josh Byerly said. "Dragon should be a small dot on the horizon."

Shortly before 7 a.m. EDT (1100 GMT), station astronauts sent instructions to Dragon to turn on a strobe light as a test to make sure the craft can respond to commands sent by the astronauts. Though the light was invisible to the crew, the spacecraft's systems indicated that the command was received and responded to.

"It's too far out and brightly illuminated to see the strobe light," Kuipers said.

The space station is a $100 billion orbiting research lab built by a coalition of five international space agencies, including NASA, the Russian Federal Space Agency, the European Space Agency, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency.

During Thursday's flyby, Dragon tested its navigation and communications instruments, including a system called Relative GPS that uses the distance between the station and the capsule to determine Dragon's position in space. The vehicle will also tried out its "COTS Ultra-high frequency Communication Unit" to send signals to the space station.

As Dragon approached the station, the spacecraft was visible as a small bright dot in the distance.

There are numerous highly qualified lawyers that come with free consultations and can permit you the opportunity ask questions and understand the options without having to agree to hiring them. Obtain an attorney that offers free consultations, and reap the benefits of this time to question questions and see what that exact attorney suggests the the person could do on your behalf.

2. Find out if your attorney knowledge in consumer bankruptcy. Ask the lawyer if she or he has filed either chapter seven and chapter 13 cases and if she / he includes found these cases to a discharge to your client. A discharge could be the energy that the bankruptcy court has to destroy many, if not all, of your debts to provide you a fresh start and clean record financially.

3. Ask the attorney what their own fees are, and whether it?ll cost you by the hour or possibly a flat, foreseen fee. Will you finally end up on the telephone with helper, clerk, paralegal, and after that law student when you contact? Does your probable lawyer return your phone calls and reply to emails within round the clock and answer the questions you have?

Finally, a vey important factor might be the main one least more likely in your radar. What precisely did your gut tell you? Too much vitamin D can be as unhealthy as too little

Too much vitamin D can be as unhealthy as too little [ Back to EurekAlert! ] Public release date: 29-May-2012

Scientists know that Vitamin D deficiency is not healthy. However, new research from the University of Copenhagen now indicates that too high a level of the essential vitamin is not good either. The study is based on blood samples from 247,574 Copenhageners. The results have just been published in the reputed scientific Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Vitamin D is instrumental in helping calcium reach our bones, thus lessening the risk from falls and the risk of broken hips. Research suggests that vitamin D is also beneficial in combating cardiac disease, depression and certain types of cancers. The results from a study conducted by the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences now support the benefits of vitamin D in terms of mortality risk. However, the research results also show higher mortality in people with too high levels of vitamin D in their bloodstream:

"We have had access to blood tests from a quarter of a million Copenhageners. We found higher mortality in people with a low level of vitamin D in their blood, but to our surprise, we also found it in people with a high level of vitamin D. We can draw a graph showing that perhaps it is harmful with too little and too much vitamin D," explains Darshana Durup, PhD student.

If the blood contains less than 10 nanomol (nmol) of vitamin per liter of serum, mortality is 2.31 times higher. However, if the blood contains more than 140 nmol of vitamin per liter of serum, mortality is higher by a factor of 1.42. Both values are compared to 50 nmol of vitamin per liter of serum, where the scientists see the lowest mortality rate.

More studies are needed

Darshana Durup emphasises that while scientists do not know the cause of the higher mortality, she believes that the new results can be used to question the wisdom of those people who claim that you can never get too much vitamin D:

"It is important to conduct further studies in order to understand the relationship. A lot of research has been conducted on the risk of vitamin D deficiency. However, there is no scientific evidence for a 'more is better' argument for vitamin D, and our study does not support the argument either. We hope that our study will inspire others to study the cause of higher mortality with a high level of vitamin D," says Darshana Durup. She adds:

"We have moved into a controversial area that stirs up strong feelings just like debates on global warming and research on nutrition. But our results are based on a quarter of a million blood tests and provide an interesting starting point for further research."

The largest study of its kind

The study is the largest of its kind and it was only possible to conduct it because of Denmark's civil registration system, which is unique in the Nordic countries. The 247,574 blood samples come from the Copenhagen General Practitioners Laboratory:

"Our data material covers a wide age range. The people who participated had approached their own general practitioners for a variety of reasons and had had the vitamin D level in their bloodstream measured in that context. This means that while the study can show a possible association between mortality and a high level of vitamin D, we cannot as yet explain the higher risk," explains Darshana Durup.

Therefore in future research project scientists would like to compare the results with information from disease registers such as the cancer register. Financial support is currently being sought for such projects.

Faithful females who choose good providers key to evolutionary shift to modern family, study finds

In early human evolution, when faithful females began to choose good providers as mates, pair-bonding replaced promiscuity, laying the foundation for the emergence of the institution of the modern family, a new study finds.

The study helps answer long-standing questions in evolutionary biology about how the modern family, characterized by intense, social attachments with exclusive mates, emerged following earlier times of promiscuity. In addition to the establishment of stable, long-lasting relationships, the transition to pair-bonding was also characterized by a reduction in male-to-male competition in favor of providing for females and providing close parental involvement.

The study demonstrates mathematically that the most commonly proposed theories for the transition to human pair-bonding are not biologically feasible. However, the study advances a new model showing that the transition to pair-bonding can occur when female choice and faithfulness, among other factors, are included. The result is an increased emphasis on provisioning females over male competition for mating.

The effect is most pronounced in low-ranked males who have a low chance of winning a mate in competition with a high-ranked male. Thus, the low-ranked male attempts to buy mating by providing for the female, which in turn is then reinforced by females who show preference for the low-ranked, "provisioning" male, according to author Sergey Gavrilets, associate director for scientific activities at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis and a professor at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

"Once females begin to show preference for being provisioned, the low-ranked males' investment in female provisioning over male-to-male competition pays-off," Gavrilets explained.

Gavrilets says that the study's results describe a "sexual revolution" initiated by low-ranking males who began providing in order to get matings. "Once the process was underway, it led to a kind of self-domestication, resulting in a group-living species of provisioning males and faithful females," he said.

The study reveals that female choice played a crucial role in human evolution and that future studies should include between-individual variation to help explain social dilemmas and behaviors, according to Gavrilets.
